Experience:
Ms. Zacher has worked in the development of communities in Missouri , Illinois , and Virginia . Her experience includes community-wide goal setting, economic restructuring, tourism infrastructure development and neighborhood revitalization. She has also worked extensively with community-based planning initiatives to bring about improvements to business and industrial parks, riverfront mixed-use properties, affordable and market-rate housing development, and campus-style multi-use properties.
While working for the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Ms. Zacher trained elected officials and interested citizens in a variety of development strategies such as community assessment, “ Main Street ” revitalization and tax incentive programs. While with the City of St. Louis , Ms. Zacher managed several major revitalization projects, including the long-term redevelopment of the 1,000-acre Riverfront Business Corridor, and coordinated the City's role in the financing and construction of the St. Louis Renaissance Grand Hotel and Suites, the metro area's convention headquarters hotel.
Ms. Zacher's recent invited published works include co-authored articles in the professional publications Brownfield News and RegionWise, and an article, “Blueprint for Sustainable Development” in a recent edition of the magazine of the East-West Gateway Council of Governments.
